We’re a not-for-profit community group, set to revive the beautiful, historic Arcade, transforming it into the UK’s first community-run shopping centre, opening in Spring 2026. Your membership gives you a voice in how The Arcade is run, from selecting tenants to planning community events, ensuring it truly serves the people of Dewsbury.
In November 2023, our community share offer was a fantastic success, raising a brilliant £127,000!
Over 200 local residents became lifetime members, with many generously investing between £50 and an incredible £5,000, showing their strong belief in The Arcade. While we want everyone to have the chance to join us and become a member with full voting rights for as little as £10, any contribution you can make, big or small, will go directly towards making The Arcade even better.
By joining, you’ll be part of a community dedicated to revitalising our town centre. The Arcade will offer unique, independent shops, eateries, and creative spaces, all designed to draw people back to Dewsbury. With affordable rents and community support, we’re creating a vibrant hub where local businesses can thrive. Your membership helps us ensure The Arcade becomes a destination for shopping, socialising, and community events, making Dewsbury a place we can all be proud of.
