Jane Platts Art at Black Box Yorkshire Studios, Mindful Maker CIC, Yaga Art and The Yorkshire Magpie offer a wide range of handcrafted Art, Textiles, Decor, Gifts and Jewellery.

Each Maker has their own distinctive style and hopes to bring something different to Dewsbury.

The Artists and Makers are giving their own time to run and manage to shop so this is also a unique opportunity to come and chat with them about their makes and themselves. Alongside their creative practices they also offer creative workshops in the community supporting adults and children with their mental well-being.

Shop opening hours are Wednesday and Friday 10am – 2pm with additional dates running up to Christmas. The Collective will open their doors to the public on Wednesday 4th and Friday 6th of December with an official opening on Saturday 7th 11am – 3pm.

Pop in to the pop up and make a handmade makers day.

]]> Clothes Swap https://www.arcade-dewsbury.org/clothes-swap/ Fri, 18 Oct 2024 11:06:14 +0000 https://www.arcade-dewsbury.org/?p=541 Our Clothes Swap was the first event in our Arcade Pop Up. People came to  swap clothes, eat cake, craft and shop at our Maker’s Market. There was also a chance to look round our exhibition on the history of The Arcade and get to learn our plans for the future.

We will be doing it all again on Saturday 26th October so please come down and get involved. You can bring up to 10 items of clothing that you know longer love but someone else will and swap them for your next favourite outfits. You can try a new craft at our free workshops, shop at our market and join us for a cuppa and a slice of cake. Crafty types are invited to bring a project and join our Stitch Social. We are also part of Dewsbury’s Trick or Treat Trail so bring the whole family, follow the map and collect the sweets!
